Smultronställen part 4: Rissájávri, or the Trollsjön lake as it’s often called by the locals 💙 Trollsjön is said to be the most transparent lake in Sweden. It’s 34 metres deep and on a clear day, you can easily see the bottom of it… Walking 5 km to the lake it´s an experience itself, the stone valley landscape is beyond amazing! Thousands of huge boulders are scattered around the wonderfully verdant valley. Traces of a retracting ice age.
The best time to visit this magical place is in late summer, when the snow and ice have melted away. In this area snow can stay until July!
