At this time of the year, up north, it’s usually a time of festivities. For 415 years the market in Jokkmokk was a gathering point for all of us in Sápmi. However, the last two year this event has been put on hold, only happening on digital platforms.
Today the Swedish government announced that our society once again will go back to some sort of “normal”. Of course we welcome this. And we hope that next year will be the time when we all meet in Jokkmokk again.
