On 23 October, Viscaria inaugurated its new water treatment plant in Kiruna – a 500 million SEK investment and a key milestone in the restart of the Viscaria mine.
The facility combines sand filtration and ion exchange technology on a large scale and can treat up to 1,000 cubic metres of water per hour. It represents an important step towards more responsible copper production in Europe.
