Eldkvarn set for another concert at Sara kulturhus

Now it’s official that the band Eldkvarn from Norrköping will be performing two concerts at Sara kulturhus this summer. The new date is Saturday, August 17, providing a perfect opportunity for music lovers along the northern coast to end the summer in a memorable way.

– We are delighted to meet Eldkvarn’s request for another concert and at the same time offer another chance, for both the local population and traveling audience, to experience the band live. With their iconic songs and legendary performances, the concerts are guaranteed to be unforgettable experiences, says Sofia Andersson Lundberg, program manager at Sara kulturhus.

Few bands in Sweden, like Eldkvarn, with Plura Jonsson’s unique lyrics, have portrayed both their old hometown’s proud history in songs like “3:ans spårvagn genom ljuva livet”, “Alice”, “27”, and also the capital in songs like “Stockholms Stjärnor”. No one has depicted love relationships as nakedly, warmly, and vulnerably as Plura. Seeing Eldkvarn live leaves no one unaffected. One is floored by their interaction and enormous charisma.

With the acclaimed albums “Himmelska Dagar” and “Kungarna från Broadway”, the band became a national concern followed by the cult-classic Tent Project & the tour “Cirkus Broadway” with invited guest artists such as Thåström, Ratata, Peter LeMarc, and Marie Fredriksson.

In the summer of 2024, Eldkvarn embarks on their farewell tour “Det är aldrig för sent att lägga av” and visits Skellefteå and Sara kulturhus on August 16-17 for their only performances in northern Norrland.
