The announcement is encouraging for Skellefte\u00e5, Sweden, and Europe as it will secure European battery production. It is also a message that strengthens the conditions for Skellefte\u00e5's ambition to continue growing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<strong> <\/strong>I was glad to receive this news. It is important to say that Skellefte\u00e5's successes consists of several factors such as green electricity, good infrastructure, and good living conditions. These are prerequisites that we will highlight when companies want to establish themselves here, and we have done so again this time, says Lorents Burman, chairman of the municipal council, and continues:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; In Skellefte\u00e5, we will continue to be a leading municipality in the green transition.<\/p>\n<p>Since the Northvolt notice and bankruptcy, Skellefte\u00e5 municipality has been working to support both affected individuals and local businesses. Recently, there has been a strong focus on facilitating for new owners, in collaboration with several key players such as the Ackordscentralen and Business Sweden. For Skellefte\u00e5 municipality, it has been about highlighting the conditions that exist here for establishing and operating businesses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; We are happy that it is now confirmed with a buyer for the battery factory here in Skellefte\u00e5 and that throughout this process we have had a fantastic collaboration with the bankruptcy administrator Ackordscentralen, Business Sweden, the municipal group, and other stakeholders. The past year has been a challenging time for Skellefte\u00e5 while we have worked hard to maintain our ambition to provide good opportunities for those who want to live, work, and run a business here. But also in Sweden and Europe.
