After a fantastic rally event in Mote Carlo this weekend it is time to head north. On February 15\u221218 the city of Ume\u00e5 will host WRC Rally Sweden. In Ume\u00e5 we are ready, excited and proud to once again welcome organizers, passionate sports journalists, and rally fans from all over the world!<\/p>\n

Each year the WRC is held in 13 different locations around the world. The competition in Ume\u00e5 is unique since it is the only winter rally. And it is really winter in Ume\u00e5 right now. Here is a lot of snow and it has also periodically been really cold with temperatures below 25 degrees Celsius. We hope this will provide good conditions for the competitions.<\/p>\n

The Red Barn Arena is built especially for this event. This is where you'll be able to watch the cars drive by at up to 150 km\/h and pass jumps that send them flying up to 40 meters forward. You can travel by bus to the arena from the city center, you can go by bike, taxi or car or even walk.<\/p>\n

R\u00e5dhustorget in the city center will be a center for the entire family during Rally Sweden. Experience the World Cup, take part in activities for all ages and have fun together. Meet reindeer and play in the snow castle. Rest your legs in one of the tents and watch the rally on the big screen.<\/p>\n

Ume\u00e5 loves sports \u2013 in every form. In addition to the world rally championship, the city has been crowned Sweden's best sports city three out of the last six years. The city is also internationally known for its universities and as a former European capital of culture. Ume\u00e5 is a vibrant city where creativity, culture, shopping, exciting restaurants and high-class accommodation are yours to enjoy. The city is a fusion between a pulsating city life and the magnificent wilderness in northern Sweden. The people of Ume\u00e5 are committed and willing to challenge the status quo.
